Hoodlums have attack the home of the new village Head of lambata Mohammed Abdusafur lambatta destroying propaties Worth Million of naira in Lambada, Gurara local Government area of Niger state.

The Hoodlums who were carrying dangerous weapons including cutlasses and sticks attacked the House of the New Village Head at the early hours of Monday the 21th of February 2022,destroyed everything including the roof of the palace.
The Hoodlums later blocked the Lambada Minna, Suleja and lambata Lapai Bida road subjecting commuters to gridlocked.
According to one of the protester’s who refused to disclosed his name to me stated that , they are protesting the appointment of the new village head of lambata by the Emir of suleja Mallam Awwal Ibrahim adding that the New village Head is not the peoples choice.
The hoodlums also attack one Ibrahim Baba Danmasani with attempt to kill him but left him with a machete cut sfter he escaped with the help of sympathizers.
The attackers also looted some corner shops around the area. The situation is however calm but the people are now living in fear of another attack, hence need for security operatives be deployed to the area immediately to avoid loss of life.
All efforts to reach the Police Divisional Officer DPO proved abortive.
