COLONEL JIYA MAHMUD LIMAN DOKO RTD TURBANED AS UBANDAWAKI DOKO IN NIGER STATE.

Community leaders in Doko District, Lavun local government area of Niger state have been told to promote peace in their domain to enable them benefit from government developmental programmes .
The call was handed down by the EstuDazhi Doko Alhaji Muhammad Santali during the turbaning ceremony of one of their illustrious Sons Colonel Jiya Mahmud Liman Doko rtd as the new Ubandawaki Doko and Hajiya Zainab Liman Doko as Hasken Matan Doko (Giwa Mata) in Doko recently .
EstuDazhi Doko ,Alhaji Muhammad santali stated that it is time for the entire people in the area to shun act that could bring disunity among the communities and urged them to be their brothers’ keepers.
EstuDazhi Doko,Alhaji Muhammad Santali mentioned that the newly turbaned Ubandawaki Doko, Colonel Jiya Mahmud Liman rtd whose track records as a peace builder,community development advocate and person who encourage youths to be self reliance was what earned him the title of Ubandawaki Doko.
He then called on him to use his wealth of experience while in active service to bring meaningful development to the community.
In his speech the Ubandawaki Doko, Col Jiya Mahmud Liman Doko rtd appreciates the honour done to him and promise to serve Doko Community and the entire local government area diligently.
He said that any time the Chiefdoms need his service he would be available to serve in any capacity, in as much as it will bring development to the communities.
