* As Attah Igala calls for Security alerts in Bagana
The Kogi State Commandant, NIgerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, Oyinloye John Kayode has paid familiarisation visit to the President, Kogi state Traditional Council and paramount ruler of Igala Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Dr Matthew Alhaji Opaluwa Oguche in his palace at Idah.
In a press release signed by the Command ‘s Public Relations officer, Alex.Agiri and made available to Journalists on Thursday in Lokoja, the commandant , acknowledged the critical roles of the royal fathers in the fight against crimes and criminality.
The Commandant , who took his time to highlight the core mandates of Corps which includes, Anti-vandalism, protection of Critical National Assets and Infrastructures; Registration/supervision of private guard companies and Agro Rangers .
He said in a bid to provide security around schools and colleges, the commandant General ,Ahmed Abubakar Audi PhD Mni has given approval for the stablishment of female Special Squad.
He said the overall objective of establishing female special Squad is to actualise the Safe School initiative of the Federal Government of Nigeria.
The Commandant while acknowledging the Security agencies for not leaving any stone unturned, solicited for the support of the Monarch, Attah Igala to achieve the core mandate of the corps.
He commended his Royal Majesty for providing befitting accommodation for the Idah Area Commander.
In a remark HRM, Attah Igala , commended the Nscdc boss for his quick response when ever he called on him, noting that the Nscdc boss upon his request sent him a bow and arrow (personnel) who are performing far above expectations and therefore solicited for their consideration whenever promotion exercise are conducted.
The monarch , however, charged security agencies in the state to to step up their campaign against insecurity in Bagana communities in omala ,
Idah, and Ibaji Local Government Areas .
He said the call to beef up security around this areas became necessary as kidnapping and farmers herders clashes still persists.
