* PCC holds Rally in 11 wards.
The potential voters in Omala Local Government Area of kogi state have advised the Peoples Democratic Party PDP not to bother themselves to campaign in the area as the ugly social economic realities facing the country has did the campaign for the party.
This was the summation of party faithfuls and supporters when the Atiku/ Okowa Presidential Campaign council PCC held its rally across the 11 wards on Tuesday..
The coordinator of the Presidential Campaign council PCC. for Omala Local Government Council, former Deputy Speaker of kogi state House of Assembly ,Rt Hon. Aliyu Akuh admonished the supporters to vote enmass for the party in the forthcoming general elections to reset and rescue the country from total collapse.
The former lawmaker told the crowd of supporters who thronged to the venues to consider the coming elections as personal commitment to the success of the party to avert the hardships and poverty that has enveloped the nation in the last seven years.
He said the presidential candidate of PDP, Atku Abubakar, is a tested and trusted politician who has the capacity to rekindle hope and destiny of the masses.
He explained that as a former vice president and certified businessman, Atiku has all it takes to bing back prosperity and transformation of the Country.
The Coordinator lamented that at the reign of PDP, a 50kg of rice was sold at #8,000, but now sold between#50,000 and above taking the staple food off the tables of many families.
He said most essentials for the survival of families have skyrocketed that has rendered the country the world poverty destination.
He added that over 133 million Nigerians were certified to be multi dimensionally poor under this present APC government, a situation that has rendered many families economically impotent.
He lamented that the APC administration has taken the country aback, stressing that any attempt to retain the Party will spell doom for the people.
The PCC coordinator urge the people to work in synergy with the party and stakeholders to ensure that they deliver hundred percent votes for PDP, which will ensure prosperity and social economic emancipation of the country
According to him, the presidential candidate of PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has been there before. He knows the problems of the economy and he has the needed capacity to address the situation.
” Apart from being a seasoned politician, he is a successful businessman who will deploy his energy to creating jobs thereby taking the youths out of crimes and criminality.
” I urge you to view this election as personal vocation as it has the capacity to either move the country forward or continue to hold down the people.
” I warned you not to succumb to their antics to sway your votes through many methods, just remain steadfast and vote for PDP for the sake of your children.” He disclosed.
While calling on the coordinators to work closely with the party and stakeholders in their wards, warned against acts that will engender acrimony in the party.
Also speaking at the rally, former Ambassador to Botswana, His excellency Isaac Onuh, charged the people to remain absolutely committed to the party and stakeholders to ensure that the party wins the forthcoming general elections from top to bottom.
He reminded the people that since 1999, Omala Local Government Area has remained with the People, saying he is confident that the LGA will still give 100% votes to all the candidates of the party.
He commended them for their resellience and endurance in the face of threats , intimidation and economic emasculation in the last seven year.
He reminded the crowd of supporters who thronged the 11 wards headquarters for the rally, that their standard of living has reduced in the last seven years of this administration, hence , urge them to remain vanguard for the transformation of their people by voting for PDP
While explaining the importance of the 2023 general elections to families and the nation, which he described as defining moment for every body, enjoined electorate to come out enmass to exercise their franchise for the PDP.
In their separate speeches, the House of Representatives candidate for Ankpa, Olamaboro/ Omala federal Constituency, Hon. Joshua Adejo and his Counterpart for Omala state Assembly, Hon. Julius Ayegba thanked the people for believing in them and assure them that if elected they will work hard through legislations and other means to bring needed development to the area.
Meanwhile, the PCC 11 ward Coordinators were given their letter of credence with a charge to work with the party executives and stakeholders in their wards for the success of the party at the polls.
