The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP for Ogorimagongo state constituency, Bode Ogunmola has declared that his consistent services to his people and the much awaited usage of Bimodal Verification Accreditation System BVAS would give him victory at the March 11 Assembly polls.
Bode Ogunmola gave the assurance yesterday when he hosted some Journalists in Lokoja to seek their support for his election into the state House of Assembly.
Ogunmola , a former Vice Chairman of Ogorimagongo LGC and a former Commissioner of information, kogi state, noted that his selfless services to his people who so much believed in his capacity to deliver dividend of Democracy would stop at nothing than to vote enmass for him.
He said even when he was in office and out of office he has kept his grassroot friends and relations, sharing , eating and drinking with them, the action that has made him a household politician in the area.
He noted that the poor performance of the ruling APC that has domesticated poverty and depravity is another impetus for the electorate who are highly politically literate have compared the administration of PDP and APC and concluded never to vote for APC.
According to him, the sweetness of the podding is in the eating as the people have tasted the bitter pills of APC administration and would not vote for its continuation.
He stated that with the polls approaching , the APC and her candidate have been enveloped in high diarrhea occasioned by assurances by the Elections Management Body to conduct free and fair elections.
Speaking more of his chances, Bode Ogunmola who is the immediate past Publicity Secretary of PDP said the introduction and application of BVAS would enable him to trounce silly his opponents.
According to him, ” I’m a grassroots man. Im always with my people. I have never abandoned my friends. Whatever i have , we share together, even when i dont have and im in the village i enjoys their benevolence.
” They know me and i know them. When i was the vice chairman of our LGC i ensured employment for the youths. As a commissioner, i attracted lots of projects for the people and i ensured mass recruitment of the youths. My records are there. I known some of my opponents have nothing to show while in office rather than sacking of workers and atrocities against the peace loving people of Ogorimagongo.
” Our opposing party is afraid of BVAS and have been working to stop its usage to no avail. With the BVAS, votes will counts. I know our opponents are afraid of free ,fair and Credible elections.
” I employ our people to come out in their thousands to cast their votes for all the candidates of the PDP which is ready and determined to reset , revamp and restore the dignity of our people.” He assured.
While advising INEC not to bow to any forces of darkness against the application of BVAS , warned those intending to foment troubles to desist .
