The Emir of Kontagora, Alhaji Muhammadu Barau Mu’azu 11 has Commended the efforts of old boys Association of Government Secondary School kontagora for their never ending task of remodeling the school to a befitting academic community.
The Emir Kontagora while delivering his speech at the 50th anniversary of the school at the School premises in Kontagora also commend the efforts of the steering committee in generating ideas to coordinate the event with such a remarkable achievements.
HRH Emir of kontagora Alhaji Barau stressed that celebrating the 50th anniversary of a prestigious institution that we were once a students and we so much love elicits a storehouse of common memories heights out appreciation.
He says “it is a great honour done to him to participate with so many great students and Ex-students who are gathered here for an unending task of building an academic environment per excellence which they were once a student.
The 50th anniversary celebration was followed by the 8th Annual general meeting and the election of new executive to take charge the affairs of GOSSKOBA .
In his speech the newly elected president Alhaji Mohammed Bala Jido, expressed appreciation to members of GOSSKOBA for giving them the opportunity to serve the Old boys Association.
“We are assuring you that we shall do our possible best to move the organisation forward positively” we are prepared to accept and adopt positive criticism and advise.
The President Alhaji Bala Jido stated that the new Executives appreciate those that contributed financially, physically and in one way or the other towards the success of the AGM.”Our gratitude also goes to those of us who embarked on executing various projects in the school we are very proud of them”,May God reward them abundantly and to those that spare time out of their tight schedule to attend,we appreciate your courage and sportsmanship.
