The National President of the Nigerian Union of Journalists, NUJ Comrade Chris Isiguzo has scored Gov’ Yahaya Bello and his administration hundred percent for his landmark projects that have  impacted on the lives and livelihood of the people of the state.
Comr. Isiguzo gave the commendation at the NUJ Symposium with the theme: A peep into Gov.
Yahaya Bello’s Seven Years in office and implications for future Administration, organised on Thursday by the Kogi State NUJ Council.
He said without contradictions,   the Government of Alhaji Yahaya Bello is people centric which have executed projects that have direct impact on the people.
The National NUJ President described the
Reference Hospital Okene, among many projects, as a  world class health Infrastructure in the country, which is  a signature of the Gov. Bello’s administration that would remain indelible in the hearts of the people.
While pointing out that unlike many Governors  in the country who will instead of bringing such edifice as the Reference Hospital and others spread across Kogi State, will prefer to travel abroad and build such facilities in other countries.
He pointed out that the Ganaja flyover bridge and several other people oriented projects are an indication that there is a government working for the people in Kogi State.
Comr. Isiguzo said the National Union of Journalists under his Leadership, aligned  with the submission of the NUJ Council for affirming that Gov. Bello has done well.
While urging Journalists to discharge their  responsibilities in the forthcoming general election without fear or favour , said their reports of the general elections should be such that will  promote  peace and good governance.
While urging Nigerians to come out enmass to make choices in the forthcoming elections, said the choice they make will substantially define the Country.
The NUJ President urge  Journalists to write what will pull people out of poverty, squalor, enthrone peace and good governance,  as Journalists they have only one country they can call their own.
He tasked Media professionals in the country not to over heat the polity even as he commended  President Mohammadu Buhari who promised to provide adequate security before, during and after the general election.
