A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress APC in Kogi State Dr. Ali Ajuh has congratulated the House of Assembly member-elect for Omala State Constituency, Hon. Umar Yahaya and all other House of Assembly members-elect Kogi state over thier election victories.
He gave the congratulatory message while speaking with pressmen in Lokoja, the state capital, after the official announcement of the election results by INEC.
Dr. Ajuh thanked the APC supporters for queueing behind all the APC candidates in the States.
“I wish to congratulate the APC family in Omala local government and Kogi State at large for the victories of our own member-elect, Hon. Umar Yahaya Connect and other members-elect for their victory at the polls last Saturday. I enjoined them to see their victory as a task and not to let the people down on this mandate”, Ajuh stressed.
He said the All Progressives Congress (APC) has come to stay in Kogi state and advised those that are yet to join the party to do so that they could join hands to take kogi state to a greater heights.
The Kogi State House of Assembly election held on the 18th day of March, 2023 cut across the 148 polling units of the 11 wards in Omala Local Government saw the APC scoring total of 10, 083 votes to defeat her closest rival, the PDP, with total votes of 3,673. While Labour Party and NNPP took third and fourth positions with 1,351 and 888 votes respectively.
