Amalgamated APC Support Groups To Hold Series Of Activities Ahead of May 29 – Butches Nwosu
The Amalgamated APC Support Group (AASG) has promised to hold a series of activities and events in the lead up to the May 29 inauguration date for the President – elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his new administration.
The group which is an umbrella platform for all support groups of the APC for the 2023 general election made this known on Tuesday in Abuja when it made a courtesy call on the the National Chairman of the party, Senator Abdullahi Adamu and the National Working Committee (NWC) members.
Speaking to journalists, its director of media and publicity, Hon. Lord Butches Nwosu said the body is the only support group still standing after the election and it will play a big part in the inauguration come May 29.
He said, “As the director general has said and as you witnessed inside the NWC hall, the NWC ably led by our indomitable National Chairman, his excellency Abdullahi Adamu reaffirmed the leadership of AASG under the leadership of Nasiru Ladan and you just witness the administration of the oath of allegiance. This is to say that moving forward only the Amalgamated APC Support group under the leadership of Nasiru Ladan will hold court for all registered support groups under this great party.
“It is phenomenal, it is unprecedented, history has been made today and i can assure you in the next week we will roll out series of activities, powerful activities that will lead us into the 29th of May for the massive gathering that will usher in the administration of Bola Tinubu as the next president of Nigeria.
Speaking during the occasion, Director General of AASG, Dr Nasiru Ladan said the aim of the visit was to congratulate and celebrate with the party as well as press for adequate representation of the group at the presidential inauguration among others.
Ladan said, “We are here today to present ourselves and congratulate ourselves and also thank you and your excellent technical team. You have made it easy for us. We have retired some political actors, so 2027 will be a walk over for us by the grace of God.
“We are here to pledge our complete loyalty and allegiance to the party, to say wherever you go, we go. In a nutshell, we came to present an award of excellence to the National Chairman and his team, and at the same time to make a small request to the party.
Also speaking, the National Chairman of the APC, Senator Abdullahi Adamu called for patience and commitment to the party, saying that the incoming administration will ensure all members of the party who played vital role in the campaign are carried along.
Adamu said, “It is my great pleasure to welcome you to your Secretariat. I laud you solidarity to the party and the president – elect. I want to use this opportunity to thank you for your unalloyed support you gave our party during the just concluded national and state election. You all contributed in no small measure to the success that we are celebrating now.
“I know the efforts it took to amalgamat your mind, your head and your trouble. Me and the NWC want to thank you. The regime of monkey they work and baboon de chop is over, we promised this during the campaign and we have not forgotten.
“This forthcoming administration will do everything possible to carry the spirit and the individual for the benefit of all. I urge you to be patient, there will be time for all. We know there is time for everything. Some of you maybe among the first call for ministerial appointment, S.As, S.Ps, board members. Each of us will benefit in different ways.
