As the kogi state joins other states to mark the 63th anniversary of the Country, the kogi state command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC has deployed one thousand and two hundred personel to beef up the security across the state.
The state Commandant of the corps, Ahmad Ahmad Ghandi charged the officers to remain professional in their duties during the celebration and to ensure that all critical infrastructures are secured throughout the planned NLC/TUC strike expected to commence on Tuesday across the country.
The commandant while speaking to the officers and men at the Headquarters in Lokoja on Saturday, said , the nation expected them to ensure the maintenance of law and order within their jurisdiction of responsibility.
He said in line with the Commandant General’s vision and mission to ensure protection of critical national assets and general maintenance of law and order, has placed enormous responsibility on them to live above board and not to involve in acts detrimental to their callings.
According to him, I’m confident in you that you will do the corps proud. I know you have been very professional in your assignments, and I believe you are going to demonstrate your professionalism through out the period.
” I urge you to work in synergy with other sister security agencies to provide needed security for the state.And as a tradition in the command , we reward hard work and dedication to duty even as we did not hesitate to punish those with predatory tendencies.
While assuring the people of the state of their security of lives and property charged them not to engage in acts that will cause the breach of law and order and to report any security challenge to the law enforcement agents through out the celebration.
