Chief Akerejola wants INEC To Transmit Kogi poll results manually.
The Director General of Renewed Vision for New Direction Campaign for Ododo, has reacted to a publication by an Affair TV, an online platform which carried News reported by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), that only Bayelsa Governorship Poll Results will be transmitted manually, describing the plan if true, as partial.
Chief Abiodun Akerejola in a statement made available to Our Correspondent in Lokoja on Friday, called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), to urgently give explaination as regards this publication.
According to the statement “INEC must tell us why
Kogi and Imo, two APC ruling states were singled out for electronic transmission of results while only Bayelsa of the People’s Democratic Party, will be transmitted manually. We suspect conspiracies and we are determined to go into investigating the development
“We therefore, call on the Chairman of INEC, Professor Mahmood Yakubu to issue a statement offering valid explanation to this effect
We are also appealing to Professor Yakubu to take necessary action against peddlers of fake news should this claim be false”
