Niger APC to Aliyu Babangida stay off our party.
The Niger State All Progressives Congress APC has warned Dr Muazu Babangida Aliyu the Former Governor of Niger state against interfering in the affairs of the party saying the damage he did to the state is yet to be reconstructed.
The Immediate past State Secretary of the Party Hon. Ibrahim Khaleed said in a statement made available to Journalists in Minna on Friday that former Governor Muazu Babangida Aliyu has no moral right to criticize the administration of his successor because the huge mess he left behind was cleared by former Governor Abubakar Sani Bello now a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria”.
Hon. Khaleed noted that the administration he referred to, as a waste has constructed well over 100 intra city roads, intervene in many federal roads to ameliorate the suffering of the people, embarked on whole school approach, constructed many blocks of primary schools, completed abandoned Jummai Babangida Maternal and Neonatal hospital , reconstruct some primary health care facilities, constructed Ultra modern medical laboratory, renovate and equip some General Hospitals among others
According to him, We are quick to remind the Chief Servant on the whereabouts of ecological funds, Sure-p remittance for local government council’s , the 7.5 percent contributory pension deduction for local government workers and teachers and many others.
We want Dr Muazu Babangida Aliyu to respect himself as a statesman, during his reign a lot of damage happened to Niger state including human rights violation, impunity was the order of the day public property were turned to private belongings,Commissioners quarters were sold, house of assembly quarters was also sold to his ( Aliyus) cronies” Khaleed said.
He also accused the former Governor of distabilising his party making him and the party to lose woefully to our great party the All Progressive Congress APC in all elections.
The former party scribe asked Ex Governor Muazu Babangida Aliyu to remember that because of his undemocratic tendencies he lost the senatorial election and has become very uncomfortable in his party the PDP resulting in All the stakeholders abandoning him.
Khalid said the recent outbursts of former Governor Aliyu was to bring a wedge between former Governor Sani Bello and his successor Rt Hon Mohammed Umaru Bago saying We don’t want any outsider to fuel a crisis in our party
We understand ourselves we don’t go against each other he asserted adding that the APC is determined to continue to deliver dividends of democracy to the good people of Niger state
The question is why the chief Servant is always against the immediate past Governor, since he resigned from his cabinet over 10 years ago based on principle, he hates Abubakar Sani Bello because he refused to be used as conduit pipe.
We therefore advise him to focus on his political career that has nosedived or better look for something more meaningful to do, it is about time he understood that unguarded utterances have backlashes.
