* Tasks Inec chairman to institute probe.
The Social Democratic Party SDP in kogi state has alleged that some staff of the Independent National Electoral commission were tampering with Bimodal Verification Accreditation System Bvas in favour of a particular party.
In a press statement signed by Isaiah Ijele, Director, new media, and made available to news men on Saturday, noted that those staff involved were mostly from ICT department.
The statement alleged that , the said staff were being lodged in the Government House in order to perpetuate their nefarious acts.
The statement enjoined the Chairman of INEC , professor Mahmood Yakubu and the security agencies to institute probe to unravel the scenario and to take drastic measures against the perpetrators.
In a swift reaction, the kogi state resident electoral commissioner, Dr. Gabriel Hale lonpet, dismissed the allegation with a wave of hand, saying all the sensitive materials and their serial numbers are with the commission in the state.
