Kogi promises adequate security for corps members.

Kogi state Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has assured NYSC members of its commitment to providing adequate security of their  lives and property throughout their service year in the state.
   The state Governor  gave the assurance during the Swearing in ceremony of the 2024  Batch A Stream One Corps members deployed to the state at the NYSC Permanent  Orientation Camp Asaya Kabba, headquarters of Kabba Bunu LGA.
 The Governor who was represented by the Commissioner for Youth and sports Development Hon Monday A Anyebe said security of Corps members in the state is on top burner of the present administration , saying he will leave no stone unturned in that regard  in the state.
He said the orientation course was deliberately designed for the Corps members to be equipped with the requisite knowledge and skills to face the task ahead of them.
  Alhaji  Usman Ododo charged the Corps members to put the  Nation first in all their endeavours to engender  growth and development of the state and county at large.
  According to the Governor a lot is expected from them through their service to the society and advised them to eschew all forms of negative act such as cultism and other vices that can disrupt their Future.
 Gov’ Ododo  also advised them to take every segment of the orientation Camp seriously by ensuring that they serve their fatherland with sincerity, loyalty integrity and accountability.
 He called on the security agencies in the state and within the environment to beef up security in and around the Camp as directed by their various commanding officers during and after the orientation exercise.
 He congratulated the Corps members for their successful class work and urged them to conduct themselves in a good manner.
   The Governor commended the state NYSC Coordinator, her management staff and other collaborative agencies for their determination and commitment by guiding the Corps members in a rightful places as leaders of the Nation.
 Earlier, the kogi state Coordinator of the NYSC Pastor Mrs. M.A. Williams appealed to the state Government to help them by  fencing the Permanent Orientation Camp by ensuring the safety of the Corps members
  The state Coordinator also called on the state Government to expand the orientation Camp Clinic  to enable them meet the health challenges of the Corps members during the orientation Camp.
  The Information Officer kogi state Ministry of Youth and Sports Development reports that the representative of the Governor, the state Commissioner for Youth and sports Development Hon Monday A Anyebe was conducted   round premises of the Camp to see immediate needs of Camp for urgent attention which Government promise to look into.
