The kogi state Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, CD. Paul Igwebuike, has assured the people of the state his commitment to providing maximum security of lives and property during the Easter celebration across the state.
The commandant said to this end, he has deployed over 1, 752 officers and men of the Command to ensure hitch-free Easter celebration in the State.
In a statement signed by the public Relations officer of the command DSC Abdullahi Aliyu and made available to journalists on Thursday in LOKOJA, noted that the deployment of personel was in line with the Commandant General CG Ahmed Abubakar Audi”s directive to providing robust security for the yuletide.
The statement said the deployment of officers cut across flash points within the State and it’s environs, worship centers and all Critical National Assets and Infrastructures.
According to the statement ” the Commandant, Paul O Igwebuike, has directed the Area Commanders, Divisional Officers (DO’s), all Outpost, Special units and departments to adhere strictly to the NSCDC standard operational order as provided by the Commandant General Ahmed Abubakar Audi PHD.
While soliciting for cooperation from the citizenry to report questionable activities to the command , urged the personel to observe strictly the rules of engagement in line with global best practices.
The commandant, however, called on the Christians to exhibit the reasons for the celebration which is the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ as the saviour of mankind and to avoid actions that will bring them in collision with the law.
