As Christians across the globe celebrate today on the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Kogi state commissioner for Transportation, Atuluku Victor Levi (AVL) has enjoined Christians to acculturate the life of Jesus Christ who laid down his life even on the Cross for humanity.
The Commissioner noted that although, Easter celebration is about merry making, but it should be anchored on love, unity , perseverance and living a life of sacrifice.
He gave the admonition on Sunday in Lokoja in his Easter message to the people of the state.
According to him,” May the promise of Easter fill our hearts with joy and peace and Love.
“Just like the Easter egg, may the lives of our people always be filled with love, happiness, and endless possibilities.
“May the spirit of Easter keep blooming in our hearts and inspire us each day. Happy Easter to you and I’m confident that your sacrifice of love , hardwork and dedication to ensuring Kogi remains great shall remain indelible in our hearts.
“on behalf of the management and staff of the ministry, we commend his excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for the proactive steps so far taken to prosper the state through consolidation of the landmark achievements of the administration of his predecessor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello.
Meanwhile, he called on the people to strengthen their support and loyalty to the present administration as it is only in unison that the state can unleash its development agenda for the people.
