Kogi NUJ Applauds Media Aides for Robust Relationship. adding value to Governance.
Kogi State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, has commended the Media Aides to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s for adding value to governance.
Chairman of the Council, Alhaji Seidu Ademu gave the commendation at a Sallah get together organized by the Council at the Press Centre, Lokoja.
He noted that the Governor’s media aides have so far displayed dexterity, commitment and sincerity in service delivery.
According to him, the welfare package for working journalists and the successful hosting of the get together deserves applaud, noting that the Eid El Kabir celebration was seamless for most journalists.
Alhaji Seidu particularly praised the Commissioner of Information, Evangelist Kingsley Fanwo, Special Adviser on Media, Ismail and the media consultant for their collective efforts at putting smiles on the faces of members.
The NUJ chairman also noted with nostalgia, the provision of palliatives and prompt payment of salary to workers in the state, explaining that the measure had reduced the financial stress occasioned by economic quagmire.
Alhaji Seidu assured of continued support of working Journalists in the state through adequate collaboration and responsive journalism.
He urged journalists to always be guided by the ethics of the profession, adding that his leadership will sustain such periodic get together to enable members cool their brains, socialize and have sense of belonging.
Alhaji Seidu equally expressed appreciation to the State Commissioner of Water Resources, Farouk Yahaya for his contribution and personal attendance at the get together, promising continued synergy for the good of Kogi State.
