JAMATA FIRE DISASTER:  State Emergency Management Agency visit victims

The Management Team of the State Emergency Management Agency, led by the Executive Secretary, Alh Mouktar Atimah alongside the Caretaker Chairman, Lokoja Local Government Council, Hon. Abdullahi Ademu and his team visited the scene of the fire disaster in Jamata area of the state.
This is to show the commitment of the state government led by His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo towards the welfare as well as security of its citizens, hence the immediate response to disasters within the state.
While assessing the level of destruction, properties and goods worth millions of naira were destroyed by unfortunate fire incident which rendered many people homeless .
The Executive Secretary, State Emergency Management Agency assured the victims that the government stand with them during this trying times and the government would support the victims in every way it can.
While donating one million naira to the survivors, the  caretaker chairman, Caretaker Transition Committee, promised to continue to support the victims and the community .
The Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly,  represented by Assembly Member, representing Lokoja 1 constituency, Hon. Tijanni Ebaya  commiserated with the victims and assured them that government support would timely come them.
The Royal father of Jamata community, HRH Mall. Ibrahim Okura Mammud appreciated the efforts of the state government through SEMA saying the people of Jamata have faith and maintain confidence in the government.
Also in the entourage was the Special Adviser to the State Governor on State Emergency Management Agency, Dr Sandra Musa and the Special Adviser to the State Governor on Emergency Management Alh. Shuaibu Mohammed.
