GOV.ODODO INAUGURATE KOGI STATE MOTORCYCLE OPERATORS UNION OF NIGERIA HARPS ON SECURITY ,IMPROVED REVENUE GENERATION

Kogi state chapter of the Motorcycle Operators Union Of Nigeria -MOUN- has been inaugurated by the state executive Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo.

Comrade Ovoro Abdulahi Ovurevu is now the duely elected kogi state chairman of Motorcycle Operators Union of Nigeria and henceforth will be fully in charge of the day to day running the affairs of the Union.

The epoch making occasion which was held at the glass house of Government house Lokoja on Saturday and attracted the attendance of the national chairman of Motorcycle Operators Union of Nigeria, Alhaji, Abdulrasaq Olusola ,the state commissioner of Transportation, Special Adviser to the governor on Political matters,Andy Ametu, Special Adviser to the governor on community and harmous relations,Haruna Ganaja,and other top echelon of government officials.

Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo while performing the official inauguration of Kogi state chapter of the Union,vowed to deploy human and material resources to fast track the optimal performance of the Union in the state.

He noted that his administration about the last five months has been excelling in securing the lives and property of citizens through pragmatic approaches which informed the decision of his government to provide logistics support to the existing security architectures to perform their constitutional functions optimally, instructed the Union to extend similar support to enable his administration blot crimes and criminalities in all parts of the state.

The governor, who was represented on the occasion by his Political Adviser,Andy Ametu congratulated the newest state chairman of the Union and his other executives, tasked them to hit the ground running to improve on its revenue base for the state.

“Government is ever ready to give you a helping hands in the angles of a befting office accommodation,and grant for you to grow the economy and create employment opportunity to our able bodied youths of Kogi state your matter will not be treated with kid gloove”,Ametu noted.

In his presentation, the national Chairman of the Union,Alh.Abdulrasaq informed that Motorcycle Operators Union of Nigeria -MOUN- is an affiliate of the Nigeria Labour Congress with the sole purpose to create harmous relationship with members .

He revealed that all the grieve areas and perceived conflicts in the state chapter were amiable settled before the inauguration of Comrade Ovoro’s led State executive leadership urging any member that is aggrieved to bury their hatchets and embrace the winning team for the common good of the Union.

In his acceptance speech ,the newest state chairman of Motorcycle Operators Union of Nigeria, comrade Ovoro Abdulahi Ovurevu Abdulahi expressed appreciation to his Members and delegates for finding him and other executives so worthy to manage their affairs.

He showered encomiums on the immediate past executive Governor of Kogi state, Alhaji Yahaya Bello and incumbent governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for their tremendously and unrelent efforts geared towards empowering the Youth and create genuine working atmosphere for youth to voice in the developmental aww s of the state.

Comrade Ovoro Abdulahi Ovurevu Abdulahi equally promised to run an all inclusive and open door administration that all members are critical stakeholders , while efforts would be made to work on her members to remit their revenue to the state Board of internal revenue service

He directed that Motorcycle Operators and other ward known as Okada riders in the twenty one local government areas of the state should henceforth approach their various local government areas offices to obtain their tickets for smooth operations adding that any ticket giving outside the one approved by the leadership of Ovoro Abdulahi Ovurevu is regarded as fake and un-authorised.
