Dr. Ali Ajuh, a prominent figure in Kogi state politics and two-time Commissioner, has announced the passing of his uncle, Chief (Alh) Usman Anyebe, also known as Inalegwu. Chief Anyebe held the esteemed title of Odoma Onu Ife Icheke and was a respected elder statesman in Omala.
In a statement released yesterday, Dr. Ajuh, a key stakeholder in the Social Democratic Party (SDP), expressed his deep sorrow at the loss. “He was a father who has stood by me at all times,” Dr. Ajuh said, adding, “I thank God for a life well spent. He will be sorely missed.”
Chief Anyebe was known for his unwavering support and guidance, particularly to his nephew, Dr. Ajuh. His passing marks the end of an era for many in the community who looked up to him as a sage and leader.
The family has announced that the 8th Day Prayers for the late Chief (Alh) Usman Anyebe will be held as follows:
