Kogi APC LG Primaries: Hon. Yahaya Congratulates Omala APC Chairmanship And Councillorship Candidates
Hon. Umar Yahaya, the House of Assembly member representing Omala constituency, has extended his congratulations to Hon. Mark Edibo Ameh and the eleven wards Councillorship candidates on securing the All Progressive Congress (APC) tickets for the forthcoming local government polls.
In a statement issued in Abejukolo, the headquarters of the local government, Hon. Yahaya expressed confidence in Hon. Edibo’s ability to meet the expectations of the Omala people. The lawmaker pledged to work in synergy with the chairmanship candidate, if elected, to bring the needed dividends of democracy to the local government area.
Hon. Yahaya called on party supporters and loyalists to set aside internal divisions and rally behind the party leadership. He emphasized that teamwork is essential for achieving the desired development in the local government area.
The lawmaker commended the security agencies for the peaceful conduct of the primary elections. He also appreciated the Kogi state SIEC for being on ground to observe the primaries and making sure it went in tandem with the laid down rules. Hon. Yahaya thanked the APC returning Officers who handled the primaries across the local government for a job well done.
In his acceptance speech, Hon. Edibo thanked God for his success and acknowledged the steadfast support of the incumbent House of Assembly member. He urged his fellow contestants to join forces with him to secure an APC victory in the upcoming Chairmanship election, noting that in every contest there must always be a winner.
The chairmanship candidate also expressed gratitude to stakeholders, supporters, and loyalists for their contributions to the successful primary election. He solicited for support from every stakeholders to achieve victory come October 19th.
