LG Poll: Omala Women Forum Endorses Hon. Mark Edibo (Mark Noble) For Chairman

In a significant political development ahead of the October 19th Council elections, a prominent platform for women, the Omala Women Forum has officially endorsed Hon. Mark Edibo Ameh (Mark Noble), for the position of Chairman of Omala Local Government. The endorsement took place during a well-attended ceremony at Abejukolo, the local government’s headquarters.

The leader and Convener of the forum, Chief (Hon.) Alima G. Abuh, a respected political women mobilizer and the Iye Ebulejonu of Igala Kingdom, led the Magajiyas and prominent women from the eleven wards of the local government to the event. The Forumā€™s decision came after a thorough assessment of Hon. Mark’s six-month tenure as Transition Committee Chairman, which was widely praised for being people-oriented and very impactful.

Speaking at the endorsement ceremony, Chief Alima noted, *”Hon. Mark Edibo has demonstrated clear leadership and dedication to the people during his time as Transition Chairman. We firmly believe that, if given the opportunity as Executive Chairman, he will achieve even greater results for Omala LGA. I enjoin all of you to go back to your various wards and as usual, mobilize in your numbers on October 19th, to vote for Mark Noble.”*

Chief (Hon) Alima assured the women that Hon. Mark places high premium on Youth and women empowerment, that if voted into office, the women folks in Omala will be better for it.

The Omala Women Forum is recognized as a formidable political force across the 11 wards of the local government, with deep grassroots influence and a history of impactful mobilization. Their endorsement of the APC candidate by this group is expected to influence massive turnout of women in the upcoming council polls.
