Dr Yusuf Ikagu becomes Fellow, NIFST.
Dr. Muhammed Yusufu Ikagu, a renowned food scientist,from the Federal Polytechnic Idah, Kogi state has been awarded Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Food Science and Technology (NIFST).
The renown food scientist received the award  during the  conference and investiture ceremony  held at the Coronation Hall, Government House Kano, on the 15th of October, 2024.
The event was attended by dignitaries, including His Excellency, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, the Emir of Kano, Khalifa Sanusi Lamido, other distinguished fellows and members of the Institute across the country.
The conferment of Fellowship is a prestigious recognition by the NIFST for Dr. Ikagu’s exemplary contributions to the field of Food Science and Technology.
His dedication and expertise in the field has advanced the industry’s progress and development in Nigeria.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Ikagu expressed his gratitude to the Institute for the honour and recognition.
 He also acknowledged the support of his colleagues and mentors throughout his career. He noted that the award will spur him to give more to the institute and the nation at large.
Dr.Y.B. Usman ,Rector ,on behalf of the Management, Staff, and  Students of the Federal Polytechnic Idah, in a statement congratulated  Dr. Muhammed Yusufu Ikagu on the award and prayed for more exploits in the field of Food Science and Technology.
