A group under the aegis of APC supporters forum advised serving Governors to prioritise service delivery and well-beings of their citizens.
This is as Comrade Ademu Seidu, Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists, Kogi State Council, has described Gov Usman Ahmed Ododo as a gift to the people of the kogi State
The call for service to the people was made by the Zamfara APC Supporters Forum while on an advocacy visit to kogi state on Tuesday in a bid to showcase the achievements of Sen AbdulAziz Yari Abubakar, Senator Representing Zamfara Central senatorial zone .
Speaking at a courtesy visit to the Kogi State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Abubakar S Limanchi, Coordinator of the Forum, described the legacies of the former Governor as unprecedented several years after he had left office .
The Coordinator called on leaders, particularly the Governors to emulate the sterling qualities of the former Governor, who he disclosed left indelible marks on Zamfara State.
Towards making the achievements of the Governor one that should be emulated, said the forum has decided to visit States in the Northern Geopolitical region of the country, with the view to letting the people know through his documented achievements.
He urged other Governors to emulate his style and sacrifice as Governor of Zamfara State, pointing out that as Governor, his policies were people oriented.
In a remarks, the Chairman, Kogi State NUJ, Comr. Ademu Seidu, lauded the initiative by the forum to promote peace and celebrate good leadership, assured of the Council’s collaboration.
While he described the veritable place of the Kogi Council in the North Central Geopolitical Zone of the Country, said the Council has opened it doors to partner with people of like minds, who are willing to promote Peace.
The NUJ Chairman assured of the participation of the
State Council at the forthcoming Abuja event slated to honour Sen. AbdulAziz Yari Abubakar.
Comr. Ademu praised the peaceful disposition of Gov Ododo to governance, and delivering dividends of democracy to the people.
He described Gov. Ododo’s administration as one that is doing well in areas of human and infrastructural development across the State.
Highlights of the visit by the Zamfara APC Supporters Forum was the official presentation of the Profile of AbdulAziz Yari Abubakar and his achievements to the Kogi State Council Chairman of the NUJ.
