Warns against drying cassava flour on roadside.
The Supervisory Councillor for Health Hon. Simeon Omale JP , has charged the people of Opada and Ofejiji ward Take Proactive Measures to Promote sanitation and public Health in the area.
The Supervisory councillor for Health and Primary Health Care gave the charge during his tour  of Agbenema Ife, Omala LGA, where he issued a directive to immediately halt the practice of spreading and drying cassava flour alongside the road due to associated health hazards.
Hon.Omale emphasized the importance of prioritizing public health and safety, warning that non-compliance will face consequences.
 He stressed that the practice poses a significant risk to both the individuals involved and the broader community, and that immediate action is necessary to mitigate these risks.
To ensure community awareness and education, a sensitisation meeting will be organized by the Environmental Officer in charge of Agbenema Zone.
The Hon. Supervisor equally pledged to attend this meeting, which aims to inform and educate community members on the health risks associated with the practice and the importance of adopting alternative, safer methods.
“This initiative aligns with the principles of primary health care, which emphasizes the importance of community participation, inter-sectoral coordination, and appropriate technology in achieving health for all.
“My  effort is  part of a broader strategy to promote healthy living and prevent the spread of communicable diseases in Omala LGA. My commitment to community health and well-being is a testament to the local government’s dedication to improving the lives of our  citizens.
