Kogi PDP:  Disobedience of Court Order, Hon. Sani Gambo calls for  Justice

The National PDP Chairman, Assembly Members, Leaders of Kogi PDP and Nigerians of goodwill. Come to my aid.

Dear Compatriots, as at 31st August 31, 2024, there was a valid order of the Court that debarred Enemona Anyebe from contesting the PDP State Congress as Chairman.

From that judgement, it is without ambiguity that Enemona was not part of the process because of the valid order of the court that was at no time vacated.

The judgement of the Lokoja High Court on February 18th was clear and explicit having granted the case of contempt brought before it.

Since the wisdom of the Lokoja High Court has declared the participation of Enemona Anyebe as null and void. I’m therefore calling on the PDP Governor’s Forum, Leaders of our great party as well as well meaning Nigerians to intervene and let justice prevail.

I call on the National leadership of the PDP to ensure my Inauguration as Justice delayed is justice denied.

Since the court has ruled that Enemona’s participation is illegal, null and void, it therefore behoves on the National leadership of the PDP to swear me in as the duly elected Chairman of the State PDP.

In simple language, as at the time of the August 31 Kogi State PDP Congress, there was a valid order of the court that restrained the purported winner and having finished runner up, I Urge the leadership of our party to immediately Inaugurate me as the duly elected Chairman of the State PDP.

The need for enforcement and discipline to ensure that disobedience of Court Order is not permitted, particularly that the Judiciary in a democracy remains the bastion of the sanctity of the people and democratic norm remains sacrosanct.

The orders of the court debarred Enemona not to be screened, participate in the State Congress. It will amount to injustice by the PDP not to still swear me in as the duly elected Chairman of the party as the only valid contestant in that election.

I, Mohammed Sani Gambo is therefore the winner of the State PDP Congress by virtue of my being runner up based on the various judgment as delivered On 18th February, 2025, by Justice Yahaya Adamu of the State High Court where he declared as follows: “The 7th respondents, Enemona Anyebe’s participation in the PDP State Congress of 31/08/2024 is illegal, null and void and hence his purported declaration by PDP as elected official is null and void”.

It will be recalled that In suit no: HC/OKP/8/2024, Motion No:HC/OKO/55M/2024, the Court also on 31st day of July, 2024 made an order against Enemona Anyebe and the respondents from 1-7, which they are bound to obey.

The 31st August , 2024 PDP election was an election I won since the person so declared was not qualified to contest as contained in the Judgment.

I am therefore using this medium to call on the National Leadership of PDP for justice to enable me reposition our party for total victory in the coming years.

The disobedience to subsisting orders of court when there was no appellate court order setting aside the orders made on 31st July, 2024 with suit no HC/OKP/54/2024 should resonate on the minds of the National PDP leaders on the Kogi State PDP scenario.

I, there urge the Governor’s, particularly, the PDP Governor’s Forum Chairman, that by the various judgment, it is clear from the orders made on 31/7/2024 for the PDP not to recognize the 7th respondents, that Enemona Anyebe, that all actions taken by the PDP and by Enemona Anyebe towards the 31/7/2024 state Congress held on 31/08/2024, abinitio, is therefore null and void, hence of no consequence whatsoever as his declaration as Chairman holds no water.

I’m the duly elected Chairman of the Kogi State PDP and should be sworn in immediately.

I appeal to the PDP National Leadership to sincerely intervene and come to my aid

Signed
Hon. Muhammad Sani Gambo.
