Hon. Aboh mourns Onu Abejukolo, Alh.Suleiman Abimaje.
Innā lillāhi wa innā ilayhi rājiʿūn.
With a heart heavy with grief, I received the sorrowful news of the passing of our Royal Father, His Royal Highness, Late Alhaji Suleiman Abimaje, the Ditrict Head and Onu of Abejukolo.
Words fail to capture the depth of this loss. He was more than a traditional ruler, he was a symbol of dignity, a man of great wisdom, and a personality of peace and profound humility. He lived for his people, served his community with unwavering devotion, and upheld the values of justice, unity, and faith throughout his reign.
As I reflect on his life, I remember a leader who was both approachable and firm, deeply rooted in tradition yet open to progress. He was a father to many, a brother to more, and a friend whose counsel I cherished. His passing is not just a loss to Abejukolo or Omala; it is a loss to all of us who had the honour of knowing him.
I pray that Almighty Allah, in His infinite mercy, forgives his shortcomings, accepts his good deeds, and grants him Aljannatul Firdaus.
On behalf of myself, my family, and the good people of Omala Local Government Area, I extend my deepest condolences to the immediate family of our late Royal Father and to the entire community he served with such grace and integrity. May God grant us all the fortitude to bear this painful loss.
May his soul find peace in the company of the righteous.
Hon. Chief (Alh.) Ibrahim Yakubu Aboh
