The unfortunate murder of these police officers , is condemnable and worrisome, for security officers performing their legitimate duties to be killed in such manner is a sad development.

This unfortunate incredible happening has further reinforced the call for the creation of State police in Nigeria and the time is now.
We call on all communities, villages and local government in Kogi State to create a security committee in their various locations.
To compliment the efforts of the conventionally trained personnel.retired and serving security persons who are indigenes in such a community should be included in the villages across the state.
Resources should be mobilized by both private and public to complement the efforts of the State and federal governments. As security is everyone’s business. We must always be vigilant and be conscious of our community security situation at all times.
We must create an early warning and respond mechanism, shared credible and timely security information to relevant institutions and agencies.
