Omala LG chairman, Edibo Mark welcomes Accountant General to Omala ,Innaugurates FAWWAS, amidst pleasantry.

Omala Local Government Area was agog with celebration as the Executive Chairman, Hon. Edibo Peter Ameh Mark, warmly received the Accountant General of Kogi State Hajiya Dr. Habibat Oyiza Tijani during the official inauguration of the Fair Win Women Association of Nigeria (FAWWASS). The event, which drew dignitaries, stakeholders, and community members, was marked by pomp as women showcased the unity and determination of women in the local government.

In his welcome address, Hon. Edibo Peter Ameh Mark commended the vision of FAWWASS, describing it as a bold initiative aimed at empowering women and fostering economic growth at the grassroots. She reiterated the commitment of administration Of H.E Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Executive Governor of Kogi State support the program as it enhance women’s participation in leadership, business, and community development.

The Accountant General, in his keynote remarks, praised the resilience of Nigerian women, particularly those in Omala, for their dedication to building stronger families and communities. She noted that the establishment of FAWWASS would create a platform for women to thrive through entrepreneurship, skill acquisition, and cooperative development, thereby reducing poverty and boosting self reliance.

The _inauguration_ also featured cultural displays, solidarity messages from women leaders, and goodwill remarks from traditional rulers who pledged their support to ensure the success of the association. Members of FAWWASS expressed their gratitude to the government for the recognition and pledged to work tirelessly towards realizing the group’s mission of fairness, unity, and progress for women across Nigeria.

With this inauguration, Omala Local Government once again demonstrated its position as a hub for grassroots development and women empowerment in Kogi State.
