Richie Music Empire Presents Cash Prizes to Kogi Carnival Talent Winners
The Richie Music Empire has redeemed its promise, presenting cash prizes to winners of the Music Awards at the Kogi International Carnival Talent Hunt 2024.
The winners received substantial cash rewards on Tuesday in Lokoja, recognising their exceptional performances and potential to shine beyond Nigeria’s borders, and celebrating talent, creativity, and the future of entertainment in Kogi State.
Alaye Baba, the winner, received N3 million; First Runner-up, Bello Zaharadeen got N2 million; and Second Runner-up Daniel Denis received N1 million.
Amb. Dr Abubakar Sameera Abdullahi, National Coordinator of Naccima Youth Entertainment, who presented the prizes, highlighted Richie Music Empire’s belief in transforming talent into greatness through opportunities.
Dr Sameera emphasised the Kogi Talent Hunt was a movement to discover exceptional young talent with global potential, believing “talent is a gift, but opportunity is the transformation of the gift into greatness.
She appreciated Governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo’s support for youth empowerment and innovation in entertainment and dedication to the carnival.
Prince Philip Orebiyi, Chief Operations Officer of the Kogi International Carnival, emphasised the purpose of talent sourcing to promoting music globally, urging young stars to respect brands promoting them.
He urged young artists to respect brands promoting them, appreciating Richie Music Empire for fulfilling their agreement.
Richie Music Empire’s Manager, Stephen Olajide Abiola Stephen, thanked stakeholders, stating the cash prizes are investments in the winners’ craft, aiming to take Nigerian talents to the global stage.
Abiola emphasised that the initiative as part of a broader goal to empower Nigerian and African youths globally.
“Richie Music Empire plans to continue investing in Kogi State and beyond, aiming to grow the entertainment industry,” he said.
Recalled that Gov Ahmed Ododo had previously awarded N2.5 million each to the top four Music Awards winners at the Kogi International Carnival Talent Hunt, held December 1st-8th, 2024.
