2027 : Former Kogi Governorship Candidate, Olayinka Braimoh , Supporters defect to ADC .

The 2023 Kogi state Governorship candidate of Action Alliance , Otunba Braimoh Olayinka and his supporters have decamped to the Frontline opposition Party, African Democratic Congress ADC, with the promise to rejig the party to take over power from the ruling APC.
The defection ceremony was held on Saturday in Kabba, headquarters of Kabba Bunu local Government council.

while addressing his crowd of supporters and party faithfuls , said his decision to decamp from AA to the ADC was borne out of his desire to bring change to the Leadership architecture of kogi state.
He pledged his commitment and loyalty to ADC while assuring that he has mobilized his organic supporters across the state to join the moving train of ADC in order to rescue kogi state from the claws of the APC.
Olayinka Braimoh noted that the coalition of ADC is the platform under which he believes his vision of a new Kogi State can be actualized in view of the calibre of dignified personalities leading the Party.
Braimoh emphasized that with high caliber of personalities in the coalition of ADC, the people of Kogi would heave sigh of relief when the party takes over power and urged the people to speak with one voice for the emancipation of the state.,
“The opportunity for the coalition and the need to have like minds work together to move the mountain of poverty and visionless Leadership from our dear State which motivated me to join ADC and the Party is also a bigger and better platform to contest election.
“Kogi State is at its lowest ebb in terms of Leadership performance considering the potentials, capacities and intellectual assets that abound in the state.. It’s like a case of the worst leading the rest of us while the best of us have not had the opportunity of leading the rest of us and that’s the reason why we decided to join the coalition to move our State forward”, Braimoh stressed.
He also enjoined Kogites and Nigerians at large, to approach INEC Offices and get their Permanent Voters Card (PVC) to enable them perform their franchise in the coming elections.
He pointed out that the cry for a better Nigeria can only be made possible by Nigerians who are ready to take the bull by the horn by voting for ADC
Earlier, the state Chairman of ADC Kingsley Temitope Ogga, described the bold step of Braimoh at joining the Party as a right step at the right time, stating that the coalition is here to stay and will deliver the needed results in the coming elections.
Ogga who noted that Braimoh is an assetn to the Party in the State, stressed that ADC is united and ready to take centre stage in the next political dispensation in the Country, promising Nigerians that the Party will present righteous and credible leaders that will serve with the fear of God.
“ADC has the sympathy of the citizens at heart and by the time Nigerians give us power, they will see what we will do for the good of all”.He declared.
Highlights of the occasion was the presentation of ADC membership card to Olayinka Braimoh as a symbol of his official defection to ADC, while youth groups, women groups and Party members added colour to the occasion.
