Kogi new CP, Kankarofi vows to sustain onslaught against criminals
The newly deployed Commissioner of Police , Kogi State Command, CP Naziru Bello Kankarofi  has vowed to sustain onslaught against criminals across the state.
This is just as he called on the people of the state to cooperate and  support the police to enable the Command  achieve it’s mandate of providing adequate security of lives  and property.
CP who assumed duty as the fortieth  Commissioner of Police in Kogi State on Wednesday  made the call during a maiden  press conference to herald his taking over of duty in Kogi State.
He warned that the Command under his leadership will not tolerate any act of terrorism, banditry , kidnapping and other criminal activities, stressing that whoever is apprehended will no doubt face the full wrath of the law.
“I want to use this occasion to outline my policies toward ensuring the protection of lives and property of the people of Kogi State.
“Our mandate as a police force is to protect lives and property, maintenance of law and order among others. Therefore we will clamped down on criminal elements hibernating in the state.
“We will prioritize the security of the state by working in synergy with our sister agencies , critical stakeholders and traditional rulers  in communities to ensure safety of the Kogi citizens.
“We will work with citizens of Kogi State so that police priorities will be base on their needs and expectations. I am using this medium to appealed and seek the support of all and sundry in Kogi state so that we can together deliver our mandate” CP Kankarofi said.
The Commissioner of Police expressed appreciation to the Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun for finding him worthy of appointment
as Commissioner of Police , Kogi State Command.
“Today mark a historic day because this is the first day I am resuming duty as commissioner of Police in my carrier” he stated.
