The recent utterances and political posturing of Senator Steve Karimi have raised serious concerns among well-meaning sons and daughters of Okun Land. As a man holding the revered title of “Distinguished Senator,” one would have expected his words and actions to inspire unity, promote progress, and strengthen the bond among the Okun people. Unfortunately, his recent statements appear divisive, self-serving, and inconsistent with the ideals of leadership our people deserve.
At a time when Okun Land needs a unifying voice to champion development, peace, and political inclusion, Senator Karimi’s approach seems to sow seeds of discord. Leadership should be about building bridges, not burning them; about offering direction, not confusion. The people of Okun Land have come a long way and can no longer afford to be misled by rhetoric that serves no collective interest.
It is, therefore, imperative for the good people of Okun Land to remain vigilant and discerning. We must not allow ourselves to be dragged along a path that leads to political isolation and stagnation. The future of Okun Land lies in cooperation, vision, and credible leadership — not in empty grandstanding or misplaced ambition.
Senator Karimi must be reminded that true leadership is not measured by loud speeches but by actions that unite and uplift. The Okun people will not follow anyone, no matter how highly placed, on a road to nowhere.
