The leadership of Africa Democratic Congress ADC in kogi state has described Representatives Leke Abejide as an ingrate biting platform that brought him from obscurity to limelight and warned of its dire consequences.
fielding questions from Journalists during the State Executive meeting held today in lokoja., the state Chairman of the party , Kingsley Temitope Ogga disclosed that, after failed attempts to win elections, ADC freely gave Abejide a ticket and worked tirelessly and ensured his victory at the polls.
He said, it is foolhardy for him to turn round to fight the system that gave him a name in politics, insisting that his antics to dismember the party has rather solidify them.
He said instead of Leke Abejide futile efforts to divide the leadership, the Party has remained intact, stressing that ADC has continue to wax stronger without factions.
He decried the statement credited to Abejide calling himself National Leader, a name alien to the Party , insisting that Abejide remained suspended from the party.
He said , a tenant cannot assume the position of a landlord no matter how much he has spent renovating the apartment.
” It was ADC that gave him free ticket to run and he won, when he was relatively unknown. No matter how much he thinks he has spent cannot confer on him the owner of the Party. He is like any other member of the party and now that he has waged war against the same hand that made him, the party has no option that to suspend him from the party.
” Imagine, someone in an event and was called to name his father, but , instead of calling his father’ name , decided to name somebody else, maybe because of gratification. In our culture, such a son is nothing but a bastard.
” Abejide believed he is a member of ADC but openly campaigning for APC at the detriment of his, does he still qualify to remain in the party. Leke is a leaf weight politician without ADC and now that he has drawn pararel lines with the Party, his fall is imminent ” he prophesied.
The Chairman who was franked by the 21 Local Government party Chairmen, zonal and State Executive leaders noted that the ADC door is wide opened to accommodate influx of members of other parties to the fold.
He assured that 2027 election would be an election between APC and the Nigerian People who have chosen ADC as the platform to bring dividend of Democracy to the people, adding that the December 16, 2025 National Executive Committee NEC meeting will be the decider for the authentic states Executives of the Part
