The Executive Chairman of Omala Local Government Area, Hon. Edibo Peter Ameh Mark, has extended warm Christmas greetings to Christians in Omala LGA and across Kogi State, as they celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ and prepare for the New Year.
In a goodwill message, he personally signed, the Chairman described Christmas as a season of love, sacrifice, hope, and renewal, calling on residents to embrace the true spirit of the season by showing compassion, tolerance, and unity among one another.
Hon. Edibo noted that the birth of Jesus Christ symbolizes peace and salvation for mankind, and urged the people to reflect these virtues in their daily lives, especially at a time when unity and mutual understanding are most needed for societal growth.
As we commemorate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, I urge all Christians and residents of Omala Local Government to embrace love, peace, forgiveness, and selflessness. These values are essential for building a harmonious and prosperous society, he said.
The Chairman further prayed for peace, happiness, and harmony to reign in Omala LGA, Kogi State, and the nation at large. He expressed optimism that the coming year would usher in greater development, improved security, and better opportunities for the people.
Hon. Edibo also used the opportunity to appreciate the support, cooperation, and goodwill extended to his administration, assuring residents of his continued commitment to people oriented governance of H.E Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo the Executive Governor of Kogi who double as the Chief Servant of the State for sustainable development in the local government area.
“He concluded by wishing all Christians a joyful Christmas celebration and a prosperous, fulfilling New Year”.
