Former ALGON chairman, Taufiq Isah appointed Asipa Ode of Okun Kingdom, vows to rout bandits.

The Association of hunters in Okunland has appointed , the former chairman of Association of Local Government of Nigeria and ex. Chairman of Ijumu LGA , Hon. Taudiq Isah as the new Asipa Ode of Okun kingdom.
This is just as the awardee has vowed to use all resources within his disposable to join hands with Authorities to defeat insecurity, kidnapping and banditry bedeviling the entire Okunland of kogi West senatorial zone of the state .
Hon. Taudiq Isah made the disclosure while fielding questions from selected journalists in Lokoja on Monday.
According to him, “The role played by voluntary security outfits due to orchestrated activities of insurgents, bandits and kidnappers in Okunland nowadays cannot be overemphasized.
” The personnel involved can only be encouraged to continue with the herculean task of keeping vigil with a view to flush out criminals and tame criminality is to recognize their contributions.
It is in the light that the Director General of Kogi state Infrastructure management and compliance agency, KUIMCA, Alhaji Taufiq Isa, having evaluated his contributions in the maintenance of peace and security in Okunland and Kogi state, North Central of Nigeria that he was considered as the newly appointed as Asipa-Ode of Okunland Hunters Association.
This is among numerous honours received by the dogged fighter in ensuring peace and tranquility prevails in Okunland and Kogi state.as a whole.
While speaking to newsmen on Monday in Lokoja, Alhaji Taufiq Isa said the honour is based on the selfless service he rendered towards the maintenance of peace in Okunland through the efforts and encouragement of the Executive Governor of Kogi state, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo.
Alhaji Taufiq Isa Commended Governor Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and the immidiate past Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello for their recognition to support and coordinating fight against Criminals, pledging to do more for a peace and secure environment.
In his words, “As a former Chairman of the Association of Local Government of Nigeria, ALGON, Kogi state chapter, former Chairman of Ijumu local Government Area and Special Adviser to the Executive Governor on, Project monitoring in Kogi state, noted that peace is the backbone of any society that progress, hence the need to recognize whoever promotes peace”.
The Director General further explained that some activities being carried out by the Association to include “promoting peace and unity among residents, saying that he thanked the association and the leadership of hunters for considering him as the Asipa Ode of Okun Kingdom.
Earlier, the members of Hunters Association urged the other political office holders to emulate the leadership qualities of Alhaji Taufiq Isa in coordinating fight against Criminal activities in Okunland, Kogi state.
