Food security; Hon. Aboh launches Agric inputs Intervention In Omala

In his determination to assist farmers to produce bumper harvest for this farming season, the executive Chairman of Omala Local Government Council, Honourable Ibrahim Yakubu Aboh has donated some agricultural inputs to farmers in the LGA.
While flagging off the intervention programme at Ibado-Akpacha, on Tuesday, the chairman urged the people to put the items to good use.
He said, “we feel the plight of our people, as a result, we thought it wise to bring some level of relief by making these items available for their use as the farming season begins”.
“This will go a long way to boost output thereby alleviating hunger and poverty. More of such interventions are on the way”, he promise
Some of the beneficiaries who spoke to our correspondent , said the gesture has marked him as a leader who is sensitive to the need and concerns of his people .
Items flagged off for distribution include fertilizers, cutlasses, rake, wheelbarrows, herbicides, spraying pumps, among others.
