Easter Celebration, Ramadan Fast : Hon . Omale felicitates people of Omala, urges Christians to emulate Jesus Christ.

As the entire Christian communities across the world, Nigeria and Omala Local Government Area mark the occasion of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, ( Easter) I heartily congratulates you for witnessing this year celebration.
The celebration which is the sober reflection of the sacrifices made on the cross by the prince of peace , lord of Lords and king of kings- Jesus Christ of Nazareth- to lay down his life for his friends( Humanity ) should be emulated by all and sundry for a better society.
In the same breath, by the divine arrangement, our Muslim faithfuls are also making sacrifices by denying self of foods, water and luxury of the body (Ramadan) to ensure that humanity lives in the natural habitat of the Almighty God.
These celebrations wouldn’t have come a better time than now, as our people grapple with insecurity, food shortages and general economic challenges of which we are called to show love, empathy, forgiveness and be our brothers and sisters keeper.
We are aware of the mountainous hick up by the recent travail occasioned by some situations that have adversely altered the Socio economic lives of our people, but, with the lessons of the time, anchored on love, faith: forgiveness, sacrifice and determination, we will soon navigate out of the challenges to the envy of those who wouldn’t wish well for us.
As Jesus Christ – the essence of the Yuletide- told his traducers that they don’t know what they were doing to him on the cross , we will at the end of the tunnel , replay the statement to the enemies of our land.
I’m convinced that everyone of us with the spirit of oneness and sacrifice for his or her fellow Omalites, we shall come out victorious, and I urge us to play significant role for the attainment of peace and prosperity of our people.
