NSCDC Commandant commends Yagba East Monarch for partnering against criminals.
The kogi state Commandant of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps CD. Suleiman I. Marafa has commended the traditional ruler of Yagba East Local Government Area of kogi state HRH Oba Lamidi Folorunsho Ayeni, the Elejeku of Ejeku for his commitment and cooperation with corps in the fight against criminals in his domain.
The Commandant gave the commendation on Tuesday when he hosted the monarch in his office in Lokoja.
He noted that the proactive and cooperative disposition of the monarch was largely accountable for the successes the corps has recorded in recent times, called for more sustainable partnership as criminals are bent on inventing new methods in crime and criminality.
According to him ” Our officers and men in Yagba East Division have been deeply involved in the peaceful resolution of farmers, herders clashes in the LGA. We have made series of arrest on suspected dealers of illicit drugs , and i assure you that we will continue to double our efforts untill crime is reduced to bearest minimum ” He disclosed.
In a remark , the royal father who was full of appreciation for the commandant and his personnel for stemming the tide of crimes, lauded them for ensuring that farmers and herders lives harmoniously in the area.
He added that the professionalism exibited by officers in the line of their duties has earned respect and cordiality by the sons and daughters of the area.
While calling for more robust partnership with the people and other security agencies operating in the area appeal to the commandant to deploy more personnel to the area to wedge against intrusion of criminals from other states.
