The association further appealed to the Governor to recruit more Medical doctors and Nurses, noting that the gains of the recent upgrade of various health facilities across the State had increased patients’ patronage.
The medical and dental practitioners specifically stressed the need for urgent recruitment of more doctors into the Kogi State Hospitals Management Board (KHMB).
The association, however noted that the skipping approved by His Excellency, was not captured in the promotion letter given to doctors working with HMB and SMOH who were promoted recently.
The association, therefore appealed to the State Government to implement the skipping for the promoted doctors in the state.
The group stressed that the implementation of the skipping for the promoted doctors would encourage and motivate their members to put in their best, and also reduce brain drain.
NAGGMDP also congratulated the Honourable Commissioner of Health, Dr. Siaka Haruna Audu; The Board Chairman HMB and the CMD Kogi Hospital Management Board, Dr. Zakari Usman for their unrelenting efforts towards the advancement of healthcare services in the State.
