Niger Governor, Ssni Bello, fetes General Nasko as he bagged DSD from Baze Varsity

Governor of Niger State, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello and Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Ahmed Ibrahim Matane were among the dignitaries that attended the 7th and 8th combined convocation ceremony of Baze University, Abuja.

The ceremony which mark the 10th anniversary of the University was held on the Campus of the University where a total of 719 students graduated with various degrees.

The occasion also witnessed the award of honorary degrees (Honoris Causa) to two distinguished Nigerians namely Major General Muhammadu Gado Nasko, former Minister, Federal Capital Territory, Abuja with Honorary Doctor of Science Degree and Mrs. Rose Ada Okwechime, former Managing Director/Chairman of Abbey Mortgage Bank Limited with Honorary Doctor of Science Degree.

Dignitaries from all walks of life attended the event, these include Arc. Mohammed Namadi Sambo, former Vice President, Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Eminence, Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar III, Sultan of Sokoto, United States Ambassador to Nigeria, Mary Beth Leonard, Emir of Minna, Alhaji Umar Faruk Bahago, members of National Assembly, Ministers, former Ministers, members of diplomatic corps and captains of industry among several others.

Highlight of the occasion was the commissioning of Baze University Hospital performed by the representative of President Muhammadu Buhari.
