Kogi NUJ Commends Gov. Bello for timely release of N2.5m To offset Vanguard Correspondent’s Wife Medical Bills.
The Kogi State Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Comr. Adeiza Momohjimoh has expressed the Union’s appreciation to Gov. Yahaya Bello following his timely release of N2.5m to offset the medical bills of the wife of the Vanguard Correspondent who’s wife was involved in a ghastly accident.
The wife of the Vanguard Correspondent was involved in an accident which occurred precisely on Friday 5th November, 2021 and left five members of Mr. Obahopo dead, others critical injured.
But following an appeal made by the State NUJ Chairman at a Press Conference today, Gov. Bello has graciously approved the sum of N2.5m for the surgery, even as the the Chairman expressed appreciation for the swift response from the governor.
Comr. Adeiza Momohjimoh in a statement made available to Journalists on Monday in Lokoja expressed the appreciation of the working Journalists in the state to Gov. Bello for his prompt response to save the life of the wife of a practicing Journalists.
The State NUJ while assurring of its support to the present administration, wished Gov. Bello well in his future undertaking.
The NUJ used the statement to pray for the success of the surgery to be carried out on the Wife of the Vanguard Correspondent, said it would continue to stand with the family in this challenging period.
