A Magistrates court sitting in Lokoja, presided over by A.M. Mopa Esq, has granted bail to a husband and wife, Denise Osanwuta and Joy Osanwuta for a two count offence on criminal conspiracy and voluntarily causing grievous hurt without provocation on staffers of Abuja Electricity Distribution Company, Lokoja.
The case which was mentioned today is punishable under section 97(2) and 247 of the Kogi State Penal Code.
The defendants however pleaded not guilty to the two count charge read against them, with the matter adjourned to the 20th of December 2021 for hearing.
The matter which came up at the Chief Magistrates Court 2, between the State and the defendants, however granted bail to the accused persons sureties resident within the jurisdiction of the court.
The accused persons were alledged to have on the 10th day of March, 202 use criminal force and cause hurt against one Engr. Olayemi James, and other members of his staff, all employees of AEDC while discharging their lawful duty.
