Ebira Doctors Felicitate With Gov. Yahaya Bello On His 6th Year In Office
The Ebira Doctors’Forum (EDF) has congratulated PGovernor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, on his 6th year of the second anniversary in his second tenure in Office.
A statement by the President of EDF, Dr Kabiru Zubair, on Friday in Lokoja, commended the efforts of the Governor in the giant strides made so far in the health care sector of the State.
”Specifically, we wish to commend your efforts in the giant strides made so far in the health care sector in the State.
”You have taken bold steps and executing big projects to repositioning the health sector in Kogi State. Your achievement in the health sector is second to none.
”The commencement of the Kogi State Health Insurance scheme is a great step in the right direction. The ongoing remodeling of zonal hospital Okene to Kogi State Reference Hospital will transform healthcare in the State,” he said.
The association stressed that the ongoing renovation and upgrading of Kogi State Specialist Hospital Lokoja, and Prince Abubakar Audu University Teaching Hospital, the construction of General Hospital Adogo, Gegu and Isanlu, would bring quality health care closer to the people when completed.
He added: ”The commencement of Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Osara was a master stroke.
”The inclusion of college of medicine in this new institution will provide the needed manpower for these healthcare facilities in the State in the near future”.
The association further eulogised the Governor for his great achievements in the area of security in the State, saying it is well known and adjudged as one of the best in the country.
”There is also great reduction in road traffic accidents due to your aggressive improvement in road infrastructures across state.
”All these milestones will have direct impact on healthcare delivery in the State and the EDF is quite excited about this significant progress made in the sector.
”The EDF wishes to congratulate you on your second anniversary in office and wishes you the very best in the remaining years ahead.
”Furthermore, you have the competence, capacity, and character as well as the boldness to move the nation forward. As you aspire for the highest office in the land, may God Almighty grant you success”, Zubair said.
