Niger sets for Administration of Criminal Act 2015 implementation.

Niger state government has disclosed her readiness  to ensure full domestication and implementation of the administration of criminal Justice Act 2015 in Niger state.

 

The State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Hon.Nasara Dan Mallam stated this in a Validation public forum with stakeholders on Domestication and implementation of criminal Justice Act 2015, sponsored by Mac Arthur Foundation held at Justice Idris Legbo  Kutigi Conference Center Minna recently.

 

The Attorney General  Barrister Dan Mallam  who was represented by Barrister Usman Nuraini Baba of State Ministry of Justice, stated that a committee has been set up where stake holders will contribute meaningfully towards take off and implementation of administration of criminal Justice at the state level.

 

He thanked Mac Arthur Foundation for it’s support to the Nigeria Bar Association NBA in organizing the Forun,adding that it will boast their understanding of A law to make provision for the administration of criminal Justice in the in the state and other matters connected thereto.

 

The Acting Chief Judge of Niger State,Justice Halima Ibrahim Abdulmalik in her speech at the occassion commended Mac Arthur Foundation and the Nigeria Bar Association for their efforts and commitment for the domestication of criminal Justice Act 2015.

 

Meanwhile, the  Acting chief Judge Halima stressed that the Forum will go along way in addressing some of the issues related to congestion in correctional centers thereby ensuring speedy dispensation of administration of criminal Justice in the state.
