The Kogi State Commissioner For Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engr Bashiru Gegu, has sent a message of congratulations to his Principal, leader and Mentor, Governor Yahaya Bello on the receipt of the auspicious Award for Security Management at the Nigeria Excellence in Public service Award from the President Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Muhammadu Buhari at the Banquet Hall, Presidential villa, Abuja.
The award was organised by The Best Strategic(TBS) media in collaboration with the office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
Engr. Bashiru disclosed that the award is not only meritorious and deserving, it’s an express validity on the giant strides of His Excellency in the confluence state vis-a-vis the adequate safety of lives and properties, despite been bordered by 10 State’s and the FCT.
Through your focused leadership, your Excellency has made Kogi State a place of discomfort for crime and criminalities for commerce to thrive and peace to reign supreme.
According to Engr Bashiru, “Governor Yahaya Bello is a signpost of a leader who places priceless value on the lives and livehood of Kogites, hence, he faced the gory menace of insecurity that engulfed the state before his emergence with all commitment it deserves. He stemmed the tide by galvanising the combined forces of Resources, Courage, technology and intelligence”.
He said, the Distinguished Award for Security Management is very apt and a reinforcement of the numerous awards His Excellency has received as the most Security conscious Governor in the Nation. Because of the importance of Security, which we enjoy in abundance under GYB, the state is now the haven of sustainable investments, peaceful coexistence of inhabitants and a place of pride due to the tranquility that allows development to fester in all ramifications.
Engr. Bashiru said that the prestigious Award is a testament of verifiable giant strides with substantial impact on the people, much more, it will further spur His Excellency to do more for Kogites in terms of Safety and delivering of other dividends of democracy.
