The Executive Chairman of Omala Local Government Council Hon. Chief (Alh) Ibrahim Yakubu Aboh, his political appointees and stakeholders , supporters of the All Progressives Congress stages a solidarity walk in support of the Presidential candidate of the party Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima.
Other candidates projected in the rally held at Abejukolo, the headquarters of the local government are; Senator Jibrin Isah Echocho for Senate, Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Ali (Halims) for House of Representatives (Omala/Ankpa/Olamaboro) Federal Constituency and the candidate for Kogi State House of Assembly representing Omala Local Government, Hon. Umar Yahaya (Connect) who was feasibly present in the walk.
The occassion also witnessed principal officers of other political parties with their supporters shifting grounds, abandoning their party to pitch tent with the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
They include Alhaji Ibrahim Noah, zonal leader of NNPP who destroyed his party materials in his possession ,Mr. Adejoh Friday, PDP Secretary from Icheke ward, Hon. Usman Obaka, former councilor and an Executive member of PDP from Ogodu axis, Hon. Umar Adama Joseph, ward Chairman of Labour Party, Hon. John Maha, the first local Administrator of Omala Local Government, among others.
In all, nine ward Executives out of eleven wards from PDP, NNPP and Labour Party decamped into APC.
“The message is clear, the purpose is genuine, victory is sure, APC in Omala is the party to beat, Hon.Aboh declared.
