The Corporate Affairs Commission CAC has described as false, fake and forgery the purported registration of an association making round on the social media known as “Wickedness Association of Nigeria, Lokoja Chapter.”
In a statement released by the Management of the commission and issued by the Head Media, Rasheed Mahe said the certificate of registration by CAC was not and could not have been issued by the commission for the following reasons.
The certificate which claimed the company was registered as an association with a Business name was registered on the 24th, Day of December, 2022, with registration no BN 74101 does not exist in their books.
The commission here by urged the general public to discountenance the names and any other information on the certificate of registration for obvious reasons that..
1. “The commission does not register Associations as Business names.”
2. “The names and object of the “Association” offends the provisions of section 852 (1) (c) in that they are undesirable , offensive and contrary to the public policy,’ and.”
3. “The officer who purportedly signed the certificate had retired from service long before the date the certificate was purportedly issued.”
The commission further described the action as wicked and fraudulent, advising the general public to further cross check the registration of entities carried out by the commission on its website search . cac.gov. ng. free of charge.
