Kogi East Consensus candidate: Barr.Julius Elukpo best choice.— Group.
A group under the aegis of Kogi East circle of good governance, KECGG has urged the people of Kogi East to mull the Candidate of the Action Democratic Party ADP as consensus candidate for the zone for his competence, capacity , good knowledge of the socio economic, cultural and religions of the people who will ensure seamless transformation of the zone.
In a press release jointly signed by Ugbede Achem , chairman, and Nicholas Haruna, Secretary, and made available to journalists in Lokoja on Thursday noted that Kogi East which has been out of power for almost a decade , needs a man who is knowledgeable in the art of governance to rescue the state.
The statement described Barrister Elukpo as a man of wisdom, credibility ,an emancipator of the poor and a stabilizing force that will move Kogi east and the entire state to its desired destination.
” Kogi state has been in the doldrums and long overdue to harness its God given resources for necessary developments that will impact on the citizens of kogi and Nigeria as a whole.
“Kogi state has what it takes to be great, and Dr Julius Elukpo knows what it requires to move us forward.
” We appeal to all men of conscience that will sit at the panel to recommend a consensus candidate for the zone, to jettison sentiments, and to ponder on the pedigree and antecedents of the candidates before coming up with their verdict.
” When you put all the candidates from the zone in terms of their knowledge of the people, their strengths and weaknesses in the front burner, you will agree with us that Barrister Julius Elukpo is the best bet.” The statement noted.
