The Management of Salem University Lokoja, has approved the confirmation of full professorship on Moses E.Atakpa.
This is just as  Omala Mentors Initiative has commended the  Salem University  for the confirmation of the highest academic laurel on one of their greatest academics of all time, professor Moses E Atakpa.
In a press statement signed by the chairman Omala  Mentors Initiative, Hon J .A. Mugabe, and made available to journalists on Tuesday in Lokoja, noted that the confirmation was well deserved.
Hon. Mugabe said the news of his confirmation does not come to him as a surprise, saying  his  immense contributions to advancement of knowledge that spanned over four decades was commendable.
The chairman of Omala Mentors Initiative, stated that the people of Omala and indeed kogi state  viewed this highest academic laurel awarded to him  as a reward for hard work, tenacity integrity , and as  one that uphold   shared values of the land.
He said, Professor Atakpa who through dint of hard and passed through the ranks to become  one of the youngest Head of civil Service of kogi state.
He disclosed that , professor Moses Atakpa, an alumnus of the Almighty Ahmadu Bello  University Zaria, ABU bagged Second class  (Hons)
Upper class  in public Administration in the early 80s during the era of Almighty June .
According to him” it is pertinent to mention that professor Atakpa started lecturing at Kogi state University Anyigba from 2009 when he obtained his Doctor of philosophy PHD on pro bono basis. He later joined the same university as Senior lecturer, after his retirement from the state civil service in 2017. He was also at the Veritas University, Abuja, before joining Salem University Lokoja.
While thanking Salem University for acknowledging his immense contribution to advancement of knowledge, Mugabe  admonished him to join hands with other academics and elites of Omala LGA to enlarge access to tertiary education to students of Omala origin  seeking higher education.
Recall that the Management of Salem University on Monday ratified his full fledge professorship.
